Empowering Inclusion Partnered with Passports for Inclusion
The All-Ireland STEM Passport for Inclusion programme is a joint initiative by Maynooth University, Microsoft Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland and the Department of Education that addresses inequalities with access to STEM careers among secondary school students in socially disadvantaged communities.
The programme’s innovative approach, which combines an educational qualification (Level 6 NFQ), education supports, and mentoring from industry role models, provides a unique pathway for approximately 5,000 students to progress to 3rd level education and achieve a STEM qualification.
The national roll-out of the programme (2023-2025), which is funded by Microsoft, Science Foundation Ireland, and the Department of Education, will see participants graduate from partner universities, Atlantic Technological University, Munster Technological University and Maynooth University.
Sports and Social
Here at BMD, great work goes hand in hand with great people. Our culture is built on connection and that doesn’t stop at the end of the working day. Through our Sports and Social Club, we make time to come together, switch off, and enjoy ourselves as a team - whether that’s racing go-karts around the track, taking a relaxed cruise along the River Lee or unwinding over beer and pizza with colleagues and friends.
We also love an excuse to celebrate. Our summer BBQ is all about good food, easy conversation, and soaking up the sunshine in a laid-back, casual setting. When winter rolls around, we trade the BBQs for something a little more glamorous, getting glammed up for our Christmas night out and celebrating the year together in style. These moments matter to us - they strengthen our relationships, create lasting memories and make our organisation a genuinely fun and rewarding place to be.
